These meatballs are a great finger food and the perfect hors d'oeuvres for any 1960s themed shindig.

For the sauce:
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef and ground pork (or turkey or chicken, if using a substitute).
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk and panko crumbs until the crumbs are evenly soaked.
4. Add panko crumb mixture to ground meat and mix to combine.
5. Add the rest of the meatball ingredients into the meat mixture and mix well with your clean hands (or use clean new latex gloves rubbed with a bit of olive oil).
6. Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop out even portions of mixture and form into small bite size balls.
7. Place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15 minutes or until cooked all the way through.
8. While the meatballs are baking, you can make your sauce. Combine all of the sauce ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Heat slowly, stirring frequently, until sauce starts to simmer. Reduce heat to medium low and continue to simmer for a few minutes until thickened, making sure to stir often so the sugar doesn't burn or stick to the bottom of the pan.
9. When meatballs are fully cooked, remove them from the oven and toss them in the sauce.
Garnish with pineapple chunks and a sprinkle of sliced green onions for serving.
